We’ve been making a lot of trips to the garden centre and hardware store and the car has taken a battering, so it’s time to give it a power wash and restore it to its former glory.
We recently had a friend visit us who stood awkwardly on one of our slate steps leading to our front door. The friend was fine, but the step, well, not so much. The slate must have been very brittle and large chunk came away.
We got a really good deal on an olive tree at Morrisons. The average price for a ‘cheap’ online planter that’s around 50x50x50cm in size is £50 and they are made from thin, flimsy wood, and we needed two. We did the maths and good quality, treated wood for two 60x60x60cm box planters was going to cost us around £40, a saving of £60.
I am going to preempt this post by saying that we have never built anything from scratch, so when the air source heat pump was installed, it was an outlandish thought that we should build a log store around it.
