We’re excited to announce a giveaway for the Webb 2-in-1 Electric Scarifier & Lawn Rake. This machine is the perfect tool for keeping your lawn healthy and vibrant. With its interchangeable blades, you can easily switch between scarifying and raking, allowing you to remove moss, thatch and debris while also promoting healthy grass growth.
Why you should consider scarifying your lawn
Having a lush and healthy lawn is the dream of any homeowner or gardener, and one way to achieve it is through scarifying. Scarifying involves removing the layer of thatch, moss, lichen, weeds and dead grass that accumulates on your lawn, which can prevent the grass from receiving proper nutrients and water. Here are five reasons why you should consider scarifying your lawn:
Promotes healthy grass growth – Scarifying can help create space for grass to grow and develop strong roots.
Improves air circulation – By removing the thick layer of thatch and moss, air can circulate more efficiently through the grass, reducing the risk of fungal diseases.
Enhances water absorption – Scarifying can help your lawn to absorb water more effectively, preventing waterlogging and the formation of moss.
Increases nutrient absorption – Scarifying can improve the absorption of nutrients, such as fertilisers, making your lawn more resistant to disease and pests.
Prevents the buildup of thatch – Regular scarifying can prevent the buildup of thatch, which can lead to a weak and patchy lawn over time.
Yes I have scarified before. Did the lawn the world of good but it was hard work doing it manually

Have a hand scarifier that gets up a lot of thatch and moss, but we have a north facing front lawn and by each spring I’m back to square one with lots of moss

I have only used a rake and got lots of blisters for my efforts. (Also tried prodding a fork in to help but not sure it it did help). My lawn definitely needs scarifying – I will have to ask hubby to do it this year, as my hands were in such a sorry state before.
