Pruning and restocking the kindling for next winter

We finally had a break in the winter weather, so we decided it was time to finish some of our winter pruning jobs around the pond. As part of the pruning process, we always cut the poplar branches into small pieces and chunks because they only take a year to dry and make terrific kindling for our wood burning stoves.

It was also an opportunity to take out and use some of our newly acquired gardening tools like the Husqvarna pole saw, Draper tipper cart and Felco 2 secateurs. In case you missed the reviews the first time around, we’ve added them all below.
