In March, due to the incredible amount of comments, feedback and emails we received about our air source heat pump, we launched Renewable Heating Hub to have dedicated platform for all matters relating to renewable heating. The website has grown quickly and we are extremely excited to announce that we will be launching a Renewable Heating Hub YouTube channel in September.
Given the recent media attention, the purpose of the channel will be to provide homeowners and consumers with an objective source of information and an opportunity to address questions and concerns that are being widely discussed at the moment. We will also be discussing the future of renewable heating in homes and getting the experts to share their tips and insights with us.
To kick off the launch we are going to have an interview series where we will speak to industry leaders and high-profile experts. We have already lined up and confirmed our first 10 guests who are some of the industry’s most renowned and respected professionals and installers.
We want our audience, both from My Home and Renewable Heating Hub, to be involved as much as possible and for this to be an opportunity for us to put forward your questions to the experts. If you have any burning questions, concerns or worries about renewable heating please send them to us now so that we can try to include as many of them as possible in our interviews: editor@renewableheatinghub.co.uk
Our first interview will be posted in September, and the date will be confirmed soon.
If you don’t want to miss any of the episodes, please head over to our YouTube channel now and subscribe. Your support would be massively appreciated.
Hello I have had a Mitsubishi Ecodan 8.5kwh airsource heat pump with 250 litre hot water tank system since 9th June 2014. The system has been fool proof with one exception- installer failed to add any Biocide- I hope yours did! Glycol and water mix will fur up if you dont have any biocide mixed in- easy to add even after and keeps the flow – this did not come to light until after a few years btw! He also admitted this omission to me last year- I told him I was annoyed because it caused the system to stop and had to pay £500 for a call out and repair. Anyway I am contacting you because on your video you said for 4000 sqm heating and hot water you used 11500kwh of electric- is this from a dedicated meter for your airsource? What is your electric usage for lighting , tv, washing machine etc? Is your home solid concrete floor or raised wood floor with cavity? I ask because I have raised wood with cavity- to help keep costs of heating down I have done a few things which may be helpful for others to know about- let me know if you are interested. Obviously I am a very early adopter of this technology and have a lot of experience if anyone wants any help or info I would be glad to help.
Michael, you are a very early adopter and I would really appreciate it if you could join our growing group of homeowners on Renewable Heating Hub: https://renewableheatinghub.co.uk/forums
Your insights and experience would be massively appreciated there. And your questions and comments above would be a great source of conversation.
