Our garden room was in need of attention before the winter, and it’s been a project that has consumed nearly two weeks of our time.
The previous owners that built the garden room did not seal, prime or paint the exterior properly, and the interior was in desperate need of getting cracks sealed with a lick of paint throughout.
Progress has been slow and steady over the course of a sweltering September. In the video below, the first coat of paint has been applied to the windows, and the filler and sealant has also been done. The new wood cladding, made from tongue and groove timber, is also up.
The end is nigh
We are very pleased with the choice of dark navy blue colour for the wraparound shelf. We ended up choosing a Dulux Trade Diamond eggshell paint in colour number 17BB08104.
The rest of the room is also looking great with a refreshed and revitalized feel.
Tomorrow, this redecorating project will be complete, and then it’s a matter of giving the garden room a good clean and putting it back together again. Phew.
