Make Easy Natural Bath Bombs

How to make your own bath bombs

Making your own homemade bath bombs is a fun and easy way to pamper yourself and add a touch of luxury to bath time. It’s also a great way to save money, as store-bought bath bombs can be expensive. Making your own allows you to customise your own bath bombs with your favourite scents, colours and essential oils, and it’s a great way to use up dried flowers and petals.

Making bath bombs is easy. Simply mix the sodium bicarbonate and citric acid together, add your choice of essential oils with the hazel water, and you will be able to make your own luxury bath bombs. In our recipe, we’ve added beetroot powder and rose petal powder to give the bath bombs a pink tinge. If you don’t add these your bath bombs will be white – see this post to see what they look like.

You can also decorate your bath bombs with dried petals – we used a mix of lavender and rose petals from our garden that we dried last summer.

Ingredients

250g citric acid
750g sodium bicarbonate
50ml witch hazel water
3 tablespoons Himalayan bath salts
2 tablespoons almond sweet
Essential oils – your choice of preferred scents – we used lavender, lemon grass and grapefruit
Your choice of dried flowers – we used lavender and rose petals
1 tablespoon beetroot powder (optional)
1 tablespoon rose petal powder (optional)
Pink Himalayan rock salts (optional)
