Harvesting our exhibition onions

We harvested the bulk of our onions in early September, but we left our Exhibition onions (that’s the name of the variety) in the ground so that they could continue getting bigger. We grew them from seed and harvested them this week and they’ve turned out to be really great. They have a mild flavour and they’re very attractive with their gold skins, and I think we’ll grow them again next year.
