Adding nematodes to our raised beds

We purchased a few packs of nematodes a couple of weeks ago from Nematodes Direct to help us organically and naturally remove certain pests from our raised beds.

In this video we add the nematodes to the soil in our raised beds and explain our rationale behind using these specific ones. Our primary focus is the wireworm, including a general prevention course against other common pests (carrot and cabbage fly, ants and codling moth).

Chafer grub (Heterorhabditis bacteriophora) which the RHS recommends for wireworms.

Fruit and veg protection that targets carrot root fly, cabbage root fly, leatherjackets, cutworms, onion fly, ants, sciarid fly, caterpillars, gooseberry sawfly, thrips and codling moth.
