Adding colour to our planters in the back garden

Planting salvias

This is the last of our back garden summer projects for this year as we plant Salvia Mystique Spire and Blue Note along with Nepeta Subsessili underneath the lemon trees in our planters.

We went with pretty blue and purple flowers to contrast against the red brick, and we’re very pleased with the way it turned out.

We used Bloom 2* and Grow* from Living Soils, a nice, gentle, top dressing fertiliser to give the plants the nutrients they need to get a good start and establish.
