Evolution R255 mitre saw video review

Evolution R255 mitre saw

We’ve been getting through a lot of wood construction projects in the past 12 months and finally succumbed to buying a mitre saw. This is our Evolution R255 mitre saw video review.

As part of this review we unbox and assemble the Evolution R255SMS 255mm Multi-Material TCT Blade Pro Sliding Mitre Saw and cut through some soft wood planks and blocks.

We then put the mitre saw through its paces cutting through old, dense oak beams that are peppered with old nails and metal protrusions in a bid to upcycle them and turn them into elegant planter pots.

Planter Pots

These are the planters that we made using this mitre saw. We sawed each of the beams to a length of 50cm. We then drilled a pilot hole into each end and used our impact driver to drive in a 100mm screw. This gives the planters a really strong, robust finish.

This is how they turned out – we really love the character of this old wood along with the old metal and nails.
